Welcome meeting at CIT

I am Sergio Banderas, the IES Campanillas EU Coordinator.

I´ve been for one week in Cork with Ruben and Alex. My tasks there were to help them with lots of things related with this great experience.

We first went to the Student's Residence Eden Hall, where they settled in nice rooms. After that, we went to take a quick look to Cork city centre, and get knowledge about buses timetables. For sure, we went to a typical Irish pub, where we could eat something and drink a cold beer.

On Monday the 11th April, we had a meeting at the Cork Institute of Technology (CIT ), an University in which we have the opportunity to colaborate thanks to our Erasmus University Charter. Here, Ana Cruz, a Spanish teacher who lives in Cork since many years is our contact person. She gave us a tour through the instalations and then we meet the two places where Alex and Ruben will work.

First two weeks in Ireland at work

This is going to be my first post in this blog and I´ll try to explain more or less how is being the experience here.

The work:

I work in a building called "Rubicon centre". This is a centre for small new companies very close to the C.I.T. university.

In my office we were five people working, but a girl leaved the office just yesterday, so now we're only four persons.

There are three different companies and each one have its own company. One is a graphic designer, other one is the owner of the webiste mytown.ie and the last one is my boss.

His company is a website development, web services and web consulting.

Tasks I'm doing:

At the moment, I've developed the interfaces for two mobile-friendly websites, a chart tool to monitorize the usage of an API and some improvements in existent websites.

The tasks that my boss assign to me are fairly good and I'm not getting bored and I think that my work is being useful.

A curious picture

This is a curious picture, why? Is simple, because the traffic is a right side.
